At Lammas, also called Lughnasadh,
the hot days of August are upon us, much of the earth is dry and
parched, but we still know that the bright reds and yellows of the
harvest season are just around the corner.
Apples are beginning to ripen in the trees, our summer vegetables
have been picked, corn is tall and green, waiting for us to come
gather the bounty of the crop fields.
Now is the time to begin reaping what we have sown, and gathering
up the first harvests of grain, wheat, oats, and more.
It is the first of the three harvest holidays.. In early Ireland,
it was a bad idea to harvest your grain any time before Lammas --
it meant that the previous year's harvest had run out early, and
that was a serious failing in agricultural communities.
However, on August 1, the first sheafs of grain were cut by the
farmer, and by nightfall his wife had made the first loaves of bread
of the season.
Some Christians may recognize the name Lammas as “loaf mass”
or hlaf maesse. It comes from the early Christian times when, the
first loaves of the season were blessed by the Church. Yes another
Pagan holiday adopted by Christians.
It's also a day for honoring Lugh, the Celtic craftsman god, which
is where the name Lughnasadh comes from.
In our ritual we will celebrate with fresh homemade bread and honor
Lugh as well. We will make corn dollies to burn in sacrifice Everything
that goes on the dolls must be flammable and ideally should burn
with a sweet scent. As you create your dolls, concentrate on imbuing
the dolls with the qualities of self that they bring to sacrifice,
that their new selves be reborn.

As many of you know, I have been sharing my innermost thoughts,
ideas, and insights here, as well as my challenges in this section.
My best hope is that you will gain some insights and further clarity
on your own path.
We are all part of this beautiful Family called Human.
I welcome your comments.
It has been a very busy last few weeks!
I am working more at the hospital, and preparing to go to the Netherlands
and Hamburg for most of August.
I have also become more involved in a couple of projects near and
dear to my heart.
The result is a sore throat that went into my ear and caused me
to lose my voice, and for those that know me, losing my voice is
an experience I choose to shorten as much as possible!
As I have been forced to take down time, I am realizing how important
it is to find ways to become more aware of my limits, boundaries
and find more ways to keep my life in balance.
I look at Nature and see she has cycles, light and dark, seasons
that blend into each other, some for growing and action, others
for rest. This reminds me that since we are a blend of Mother Earth
and Spirit, I need to connect in a better way to my body and it’s
cycles and needs. This is also important for my emotional needs
as well.
As I have been going thru some challenging times, I remind myself
just how much I am supported, and how easily I can forget and allow
stress to come in and place weights on my thoughts.
So I figure this is part of what they mean by Lightwork, to keep
vigilant of my thoughts and stay in conscious control of my perceptions.
The sooner I can master this, the sooner I can be the highest use
to the Universe.
So...as things at ties may appear dark, I remember the phrase: “Things
are not what they seem”, and allow my imagination to soar,
my perception to shift, and allow the magic in. As I do this, I
have discovered that that is when the good news finds me, or that
friend calls with words of love and support, and a great idea. And
Spirit whispers “Everything is going to be alright”.

Acknowledging History
Permission From The Land
When we acknowledge that every thing on our planet has its own energy
and spirit, we have the opportunity to begin acting from that knowledge.
Rather than thinking of rocks and fallen leaves as inanimate objects,
we can remember that these items carry the energy of their past
and their surroundings into the present moment before becoming something
else. Just as we are molecules in motion, so are all things in the
material world. Working in harmony with the universe means acknowledging
that we are the same as the land and the stars, that we are all
connected, and that we are all in a state of becoming.
It may seem obvious for us to behave with respect and ask permission
of an overarching spirit before we enter a sacred place, or set
foot upon some place with a history that makes us deeply aware of
its past. But we can extend that same respect to any area of land.
Whether we are merely considering stepping on it for recreation,
or we have plans for landscaping, building, or moving it into an
existing structure, we can show our respect for all the spirits
that have come before us by connecting to the underlying energy.
Once we have done that, we can take a moment to ask permission before
we move in, remodel, or build in that space.
Beneath the surface of even the smallest plot of land lie years
and years of history. Each speck of dust, grain of sand, and clod
of earth has history that dates from the beginning of time before
it became one of the elements that make up our planet. By thinking
before we attempt to claim ownership over the land, we really acknowledge
that we can never really own it. Instead we can work with it to
create something new in that space. When we connect to all the energies
that make up the land around us, we honor them and connect to all
who have come before us, and we can be guided by their voices and
their ancient wisdom.

The concept of inner dialogue is usually associated with our tendency
to run thoughts and ideas inside our heads. This idea of the incessant
chatter of our "monkey minds" is central to many meditation
practices, which provide people with tools to quiet the mind and
calm the body. These practices operate on the principle that just
as we can experience increased tranquility and clarity from clean,
organized surroundings, we can also feel much more positive, balanced,
and compassionate toward ourselves and others when we take time
to clear our minds on a regular basis. The simple activity of clearing
out mental clutter can give us the optimal vantage point we most
need in order to see new opportunities we would miss otherwise.
There is another aspect of inner dialogue, which is the interconnectedness
between our inner thoughts and feelings and everything and everyone
around us. We do not exist in isolation, and are therefore continually
immersed in an energetic conversation with the universe around us...
even when most of the time, this conversation happens beneath our
normal threshold of consciousness.
I was reminded of just how amazingly the inner and outer worlds
converge while listening to Fred Alan Wolf's excellent audio learning
course, Dr. Quantum Presents Do-It-Yourself Time Travel, in which
Wolf tells the story of a man who had an amazingly complex dream
set at the time of the French revolution. After many detailed events
transpired, the man's dream culminated in a dramatic scene at a
guillotine. At the precise moment when the guillotine dropped in
the man's dream, he was startled awake by the headboard of his bed
falling down on top of his head! The fact that such a lengthy dream
could be dreamt immediately prior to such a dramatic and unusual
event as a headboard landing on the dreamer's head demonstrates
that we are much more connected to and aware of our environment
than we tend to consciously acknowledge.
You can get confirmation of the interconnectedness between you
and the universe when noting an amazing synchronicity of events
which dovetails perfectly with something you were thinking silently
to yourself. When you pay close attention to your inner dialogue,
you can see how what you think and feel on the inside influences
what is going on around you, and get a taste of how your inner dialogue
interacts with the universe. Sometimes you will know things you
had no obvious way of knowing (such as to look out for something
landing on your head), and other times, you will find that your
own calmness and clarity can bring coherence to an otherwise chaotic
situation. It is in the very interconnectedness of All That Is that
we can open the inner door to peaceful tranquility inside ourselves,
and in so doing, share the gifts from this inner sanctuary with
the world.

2012 - What’s It Really About?

Yesterday I spent time with Grandmothers of Wisdom. It was so reminiscent
of when I was a child and would go with my grandfather to the annual
gathering of Elders. They would sit around a fire for days discussing
prophecy, telling the stories of evolution and doing ritual to put
in alignment/balance the world reality as best they could. Now,
I am part of the circle discussions, and I am humbled by what I
am given to send forth on the Winds of Change.
This year I began translating our prophecies. Yesterday one was
confirmed that is is occuring NOW. What I need to share with all
of you is that the Prophecy Keepers want you to know WE SPEND TOO
MUCH TIME FOCUSED ON 2012. What will happen in 2012 is the ENDING
OF WHAT BEGIN IN 1993 when we entered the Time of No Time…
the “time in Earth Mother’s womb.” The Intersection
of Time and Space when humanity’s consciousness would/has
begun to open.
The Elders are concerned that once again we are not present for
what is our task at hand. We are focused in the future, on something
that will not take place unless we are focused on NOW.
Papa Reynolds Kamakawiwoole said two years ago, “The women
walk first.” This out of the blue was a confirmation of what
an Omaha Grandmother said many years before - “Women must
find their spirituality first and then bring the men.”
Grandmother Vickie Downey of the Tewa said “What Mother Earth
has to do to heal herself, we can help her and we can help ourselves.
Think about her and ask for assistance for her, because whatever
she goes through we go through.”
A friend from the Orang Asili (Asian Indigenous) said that the
“Dragon has been sent by the Five Sisters to put right what
is wrong around the opening East Gate.” There is a prophecy
from the Hopi that says the opening of the East Gate and West Gate
will occur when the Brother from the East bring the tablet to the
Brother of the West. Many think this is occuring now with the new
Karmapa making endeavors to seek out Grandfather Martin. Know this,
all is not as it seems.
Eighteen months ago, I led pilgrimage to Hotevilla, the heart of
Hopi Mesa. We stood with Grandfather Martin as he showed us the
first Prophecy Rock. I knew these prophecies well from child hood.
There are paths leading up from the place of emergence. What concerned
Grandfather in his telling, was to remind us that the figures on
the top path, LOOK LIKE THEY CARRY THE HEART, BUT IN FACT, ARE ILLUSIONARY.
As you watch the proceedings regarding Tibet and China, please keep
this in mind. NOT ALL IS AS IT SEEMS.
When Grandfather shared with us the second path of Prophecy Rock,
he reminded us that it is the path of the heart that is the true
path through this time.
Which takes us to the second Prophecy Rock, where Grandfather told
us, “humans become the new technology.” This in alignment
with my grandfather’ s teachings that taught me that we would
stretch and grow empathic and mental telepathic abilities, self
healing capabilities* , and so much more.
The Quero, my lineage call this new time the Fifth World of Coming
Together = Seneca Fifth World of Peace = Inkan Q’ero Age of
Meeting Ourselves Again.
Our Apache prophecy reads…
Here. This is what I have made you, made you a correct people,
a good people, and I have given you all these things… because
I want you to find what you are about… therefore, I have given
you all this that you might live. Bik’eguda’-i’
inda, shi zha! Shi zah! Diyiyan nashiyaakugut, split me into four
and I am the Children of the Four Directions come together again.
When the great Snake is seen in the sky, Come Together, bring me
whole. Be one again.
The great Snake was seen in the sky in March 1997. My family, for
generations walked the land doing ceremony at sacred places to “put
right/align/ balance” the world and keep these sites pumping
the energies the made hope for the future. My tradition of the Quero
(Sierra Madre) Apache and my cousins, the Inkan Q’ero believe
that it is ritual that puts things in order and heals.
Consider… Why do we do house blessings? Because a person
moves in and wants the old energy gone from the previous owner…
WE ALIGN A CARETAKER/GUARDIAN WITH A SPACE. This is the same as
with what we have always done with Sacred Sites. RITUAL BALANCES…
HEALS… PUTS RIGHT. We each become the ley lines… dragon
lines of earth’s grid. We are anchor points. The Elders of
long ago knew that. Maintained that, and cared for this. But now
those that have forgotten… you… are remembering through
the shifting of the earth’s electromagnetic core.
The Brothers, the men who carry the lineages have approached us,
the women who carry the lineages, and said, “now is the time
for you to speak. Our time is over, and we have held the truth as
long as we can. The passing of power is NOW.” So I travel
this next year with others to speak on NOW. Gregg Braden, Alberto
Villoldo…. Happy Pahia, Luiseh Teish, Nicki Scully, Brooke
Medicine Eagle, Maria Theresa Valenzula, and so many more.
So many ask, what can we do? To this I say, do ritual and keep
yourself aligned with Mother. She will tell you what to do. Give
offering. Close your eyes and listen. Open your eyes and the next
step is there. Take action. Then repeat the procedure… again
and again. But stay NOW. Stop worrying about what is happening in
2012. 2012 is the ENDING OF THE GERMINATION PERIOD, not the beginning.
The Grandmothers gather and the Star Rites of Intiation begin 12/08….
THIS YEAR. Ritual, always ritual. This is the way of the mother.
And the Mother is who we are guardians for. Guardians of life for
the future in the Now.
Gram Twylah Nitsch of the Seneca said… “They live in
every location on Earth Mother and they have one common characteristic:
the ability to live in peace with who they are, with each other,
and with All Our Relations. These Children of Earth do not want
to leave the earth for another home… They do not run from
themselves or their chosen paths.” She spoke of us, those
of us that have opened to the energies that shift in the Mother.
Remember… as you watch the Olympics… pray… because
something is about to happen, and what was thought to be true, will
be exposed as non reality. My family will gather in New Mexico to
hold space and do ritual. The Hopi will be involved in their annual
Snake Dance. All over the world the Prophecy keepers know that truth
begins 8/8/08 and culminates in knowing by the Dragon Moon of 8/30.
Fear is an illusion. Clarity comes from ritual and provides direction.
And in all of this Earth First in all our decisions. Prophecy states,
“War ends when the Mothers of Earth say No More.”
