The Kekelt Llamas program for Youths 13 th 18

Meets monthly in Escondido at the Watson Llama farm:

If you know youth between the ages of 13 and 18 who are called to connect with llamas and build self-esteem and resiliency, learn effective communication and cooperation skills and practice conscious decision making, please share with them the Kekelt program (Kekelt means juvenile hawk in Quero Apache). Youth in the Kekelt program will:

v Build self-worth and self-understanding
v Cultivate trust in relationships
v Become conscious of emotions and how to express them
v Learn how to be respectful of the boundaries of self and others
v Gain in self-understanding and in the understanding of others’ needs and motivations
v Learn about the care and nurturing of self and others
v Feel a strong sense of belonging in the world
v Develop a deep appreciation of all of life
v Increase acceptance and love of self
v Develop greater self-reliance and resiliency
v Gain confidence in communicating with peers, family members and adults

By connecting to the llamas and the natural world, youth are able to recognize their strengths, improve their communication skills and build their emotional awareness and self-worth. Youth are innately drawn to llamas as compassionate mentors. All children are connected to the present moment when in the presence of llamas.

The llama's intuitive curiosity about humans can rebuild a child's sense of self-worth, and hence, their well-being. It is a life-affirming experience for a child to participate in a llama quest and to feel a deep connection to these majestic creatures. For example, as children share their heartfelt concerns with the llamas, they are touched as the llamas listen attentively to their every word. Or as children lie in a meadow at the ranch completely immersed in watching hawks in flight, they are thrilled when they look up to discover that they have been perfectly encircled by fascinated llamas who have silently gathered to observe them.

The Kekelt program meets the first Saturday of the month from 11-3 at the Watson llama ranch in Escondido.

May3rd is the first meeting but youth are welcome to join us any time.

Litha ritual woth Morgaine

Litha is the celebration Summer Solstice.
The Solstice is the time when the sun is at the height of its power. It is the longest day of the year, midsummer. This is the time when the gardens are producing fruits and vegetables of summer. Wildlife is flourishing and the trees are covered in green leaves.

On this day we celebrate the God at his highest point. He is strong and vibrant. Together with the Goddess who is in her Mother aspect, he rules the summer. However, it is also a time of transition. After Midsummer, the sun begins its yearly descent. The days will get shorter and shorter until the Winter Solstice when it begins its rise to power again.
Midsummer is also a time when it is said that fairies abound. They bring their playfulness and merriment, especially at Midsummer’s Eve. Shakespeare’s popular play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a story of the Queen of the Fairies Titania and her king Oberon, having a bit of fun at the expense of the mortals.

How can we celebrate Litha? Decorate with and wear bright colors. Have lots of fresh flowers and candles or fire to honor the summer and the God of the Sun.
Hot and Spicy foods honor the heat of the day and fresh fruits and vegetables celebrate the abundance that is available at this time. It is a day to celebrate life and make wishes for the future.

I met Ken last November while he was visiting the USA from Australia, when he attended a Peter Sterling concert here at Felicita Center.

Ken is a leading composer of ambient, environmental music that inspires and touches hearts all over the world.
He lives in Sydney Australia where he creates his inspirational instrumental music. His career spans more than thirty years.
As I have come to know and work with Ken, I am honored to count him as Family.
His gift to the world is his love for music, and bringing healing and awareness to the environment.

As he plays his beautiful music, the passion and love come thru in a powerful way.
His contribution to the world with his beautiful healing sounds is magnified by the way he walks in integrity, and love for humanity and the planet.
This is healing music from the heart.

Experiential Spiritual Growth
I am finding more and more that my Spiritual growth is becoming more of a series of experiences that may not lend well to explanation. My observation is that as I mature Spiritually, I am bringing more of my greater, or true self to conscious awareness. I am getting little glimpses, snippets of experience of a reality outside of my everyday world. My take is that we are eternal beings, who have chosen to send a portion of ourselves to experience being finite. Coming into this physical world on planet Earth, we have taken on a physical body, equipped with 5 senses to navigate and learn about this 3D existence. These experiences are limited to the physical.

We are energy, our true selves are infinite, and this greater aspect of us has infinite ways to be, to sense and to communicate. Actually I believe we are all connected and are all aspects of the Divine, we are all One. When I start to get in touch, or experience this greater aspect, it feels like becoming expanded, sensing my connectedness with all things, it feels blissful, and there is a knowing that I cannot explain.
When I hear Kryon saying that he/she knows us, and has “sung” our true names in light so many times, I get a flicker of a reminder of how we communicate, and how it feels when we are on the other side of the veil.

Hummm...I am struggling to find a metaphor. I feel like I am telling “one of those stories” where you need to end it with “You had to be there”....because you know that your description is not adequate .
Actually Kryon had a beautiful analogy, imagine arriving on a planet where the people had no sight. They had worked out ways of getting around and living quite happily, not ever knowing or experiencing the concept of sight. Now imagine how you would explain sight...light, contrasts, depth, colors, using sight to recognize each other, communicate with written words, visual codes such as sign language, or by subtle body language and facial expression....tough one.

Staying Grounded and Centered

Being present in the moment, grounded and centered is continually mirrored to me during my work with clients in private sessions or in “circle”.

With many of us having experienced during childhood physical, sexual and verbal abuse, rage/anger, we learned to leave our body to escape the pain. Over time this way of escaping the pain of abuse became the “normal way of being” when we sense or feel a stressful situation coming. To put it another way, to escape pending fear, trauma/pain would be to try and block whatever was happening out of our minds, or the mind would act as a protection mechanism by shutting down.

As we age, we move into more stressful situations with family, career, relationships, etc. Unless one learns techniques that allow them to “stay present in the moment” while confronting a stressful situation head-on, they will continue to feel overwhelmed by those who may accuse them of not being able to handle stress well. At some point this person will feel insecure, inadequate and angry at self, have lower self-esteem and quite frankly wonder what is wrong with them. We may wonder why we end up in relationships that have the same theme…drama, drama and more drama. This feeling of hopelessness may lead to risky behavior, self-medication or worst in an attempt to feel less pain. This behavior causes even more separation from being in-body.

I have worked with clients who found it to be very scary to feel what it’s like to be fully in their body. When some clients feel the energy of the Earth flowing up through their feet and spine, they have no reference for this energy; therefore they feel it is not normal. With patience and time, the client began to adjust to what is really the normal place to be when confronted with stress or everyday life.

One of the first things I notice when someone calls me is whether they are grounded and centered (in their body). When someone is stressed and anxious, I ask them to do 4 simple things; (1.) Stop talking and take a couple deep breaths. (2.) Close your eyes and bring your attention to your heart as you continue to breathe normally. (3.) Imagine you are connected to the center core of the earth by an anchor or cord attached from the base of your spine. Better yet, imagine you are your favorite tree or flower, with roots extending into the center of the earth and outward. You are so tall that your branches extend high into the sky to receive the nourishment of the Heaven. (4.) Continue to breathe normally as you focus your attention on the heart. Imagine your heart is the meeting point for the feminine energy coming up from Mother Earth and the masculine cosmic energy flowing down from Heaven.

Unless the person has a severe emotional issue or is on medication, she/he usually notices right away that they were literally out of their body.

Being grounded and centered allows you to be in balance, or at-one with the Universe. This way when something stressful comes up for you, you will automatically deal with it in a calmer manner.

Being centered and grounded requires practice, practice, practice. Just like prayer and meditation is suggested as a daily ritual, centering and grounding should be done prior to either. After some time you may not notice how much you have shifted, but others will certainly noticed your “new way of being”.

Remote Viewing 2012

As we approach the year 2012 and notice natural disasters around the world, many people wonder what will happen less than five short years from now.
While some fear all manner of crises, it is reassuring to note that several indigenous peoples of Earth inform us that this time of transition has been long anticipated, and something that has occurred many times before.
According to the Mayan long count calendar system which tracks events through 26,000 year cycles of time, there is special significance to the year 2012 being a time of transition from the "Earth era" to an "era of Ether" at the time of Winter Solstice, on December 21, 2012.
Within the cycles spanning 5,125 years, there are cycles known as the '13 Baktun Count' which last 394 years, or 144,000 days.
We are currently traveling through the final 13th baktun cycle -- which began in 1618 and will run through 2012, and which is known as both 'the triumph of materialism' and'the transformation of matter.' The Maya predicted this time would be a time of great forgetting, in which we lose our sense of Oneness with nature and the Earth. In the 1600s, mechanical clocks were invented which continue to this day, and which give people a sense that time exists outside of us, rather than as part of us.
The end of this materialistic time and the movement into the time of Ether is a profound change that also corresponds to a unique celestial event.
On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjuncting the exact the center of the galaxy.

This past month I conducted a workshop in which participants and I remote viewed 2012, to see for ourselves what the future holds in store. In this remote viewing circle, most all participants clearly sensed a feeling of tremendous harmony, peacefulness and joy... and yet some also sensed that just past this peaceful calm lay some degree of chaos, stress and strife.
This energetic view of 2012 is one which feels like a smooth continuation of life as we know it today, with an additional emphasis on heightened energetic awareness. Most remote viewers had a sense of being in peaceful contemplation by themselves on December 21st 2012, and some noted they could clearly look out at a large, calm body of water.
I saw myself by the Pacific Ocean along the California coast, and sensed that even as I was basking in radiant vibrations of unconditional love, there were people on Earth who were primarily focused more on material matters... such as wind storms.

According to Hopi legend, the world has already ended three times before, and people have survived fire, an ice age resulting from magnetic pole reversals, and flooding. The signs of the coming Fifth World are now appearing as prophesied by Hopi, as life forms from previous worlds spring up from the ground, the stars, and our hearts.
The Hopi Life Plan petroglyphs remind people to be not be misled off course into attempting to be better than others, but instead to remain guided truly by Spirit. In previous end times, those who made it through the transition with the most ease were those whose kopavi, the 'door on top of their heads,' stayed open to receive inspiration, and whose hearts were open to caring for others.
An attitude of open-mindedness and open heartedness is clearly optimal for facing times of great upheaval and change, yet in stressful times, people who have not practiced the art of keeping open-minded and open-hearted can find it challenging to maintain.

This past month has provided us with opportunities to assist people in the world who have suffered through earthquakes and wind storms. While it is clear that many crises we are facing now require our attention and assistance, it is equally clear on an intuitive level that when we step back far enough, we can see that everything on Earth is moving forward beautifully.

It is up to us to remain open to inspiration... and open to love. As singer/songwriter Michael Stipe from the musical group REM puts it, "It's the end of the world as we know it, And I feel fine."
